Jennifer Odessa Nettles was born September 12, 1974 in Douglas, Georgia.

She started singing in church at the age of 7, wich really inspired her.
She started playing guitar at the age of 17. She played flute and a variety of other insturments also.
She graduated from Coffee County High School as Homecoming Princess!
She attended Anges Scott College where she teamed with fellow student, Cory Jones, to form the mostly duo, Soul Minor's Daughter.
They released "The Sacred & Profane" in 1996 with the help of two other group members.
They released "Halleluja" in 1998. The sold over 20,000 copies of those 2 cds.
In 1999 Jennifer struck out on her own and formed The Jennifer Nettles Band.  They released "Story Of Your Bones" wich gained radio play in Atlanta, New York City, Cleveland, Memphis, and throughout the Carolinas. They then released "Gravity: Drag Me Down"
It was a very personal cd that won Jennifer a spot to perform at the Lilith Fair. Wich was a huge honor!
Jennifer was then honored by Musician's Atlas as the Independant Musician of the year!!
She became very famous in the Southeast and filled fairly large venues! Her fan base continued to grow quickly.
In 2002 The Jennifer Nettles Band released their 3rd and final studio album "Rewind"
Jennifer followed that up with 2 solo live albums.
Her success continued to grow and she became more famous by the minute!!

Jennifer was then approached by Kristen Hall and Kristian Bush to become the lead singer of their group, SugarLand <3

She accepted the deal and they performed together all over Atlanta, Georgia.
SugarLand got signed by Mercury Records in 2004.
They then released "Twice The Speed Of Life"
It got up to the #3 spot on the U.S. Country Sales Charts!

Their first single, "Baby Girl," made it to the #2 spot on the Country Hit Singles Chart and 64 on the Pop Chart.
"Something More," "Just Might (Make Me Believe)," and "Stand Back Up" were other hit singles off "Twice The Speed Of Life"

Kristen Hall left Sugarland in 2005 leaving Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush to continue on as a duo...

And continue on they did!!!

They released "Down in Mississippi (Up to No Good)" in 2006 as their first duo song off the album, "Twice The Speed Of Life"

It reached #17 on the U.S. Country Hit Charts!
Jennifer and Kristian then released their first album as a duo.

"Enjoy The Ride" hit charts as the #4 best selling Cd in the U.S.!

Off of it, SugarLand released their very first #1 hit, "Want To"
It was a huge success!! And sent SugarLand wide into action!

They then released their 2nd #1 hit, "Settlin'" in 2007!!
They also released "Everyday America," wich got to #9 and then they released thier hugely known hit, "Stay"
Jennifer and Kristian continued to grow as artists and gained more and more fans everyday!

They released their 2nd cd as a duo & Sugarland's 3rd cd, "Love On The Inside"
It earned them number ones like: "All I Want To Do," "It Happens," and "Already Gone"
Other singls off "Love On the Inside" were: "Love," "Joey," "Keep You," and "Life In the Northern Town"

They beat out 14 year winners, Brooks n' Dunn, for Duo of the year!!!

Sugarland then released a live cd featuring some of their biggest hits and favorite covers. "Live On The Inside" was one of the top selling cds in the U.S. It included a live concert taping of one of their AMAZING concerts!

They then released their 1st holiday album, "Gold and Green," containing some old Christmas favorites and some they wrote theirselves:)

On October 19, 2010 Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush released their 4th studio album, "The Incredible Machine" Off of it they had the HUGE hit, "Stuck Like Glue" and other singles; "Little Miss" and "Tonight"
